Class Coffee Mornings: These are held at the beginning of the year as a way for parents to get to know each other, as well as an opportunity for the class teacher and school principal to give you an outline of what to expect during the course of the year.
Parents Evening: Taking place in the first and second terms, we invite a guest speaker to discuss relevant and interesting topics pertaining to children and their development. Parents are invited to a cocktail hour before the guest speaker’s talk to socialise informally with other parents and the teachers.
Bakerman: From the second term, our children each have a chance to be the “bakerman/lady”, where they bring in cupcakes or treats to “sell” to the other children in the class. Children are given an apron and baker hat to wear and collect money from the other children to put into a charity tin. This is purely a voluntary contribution, and each class sponsors a different charity of their choice.
School Concerts: These are a definite highlight for our children and take place in the final term. While we ask for a contribution for costumes, we don’t charge for tickets.
We celebrate special days throughout the year such as Father’s Day, Mother’s Day, Grandparent’s Day and Caregiver's Day.
For these days, we encourage family participation and involvement.
Fundraisers: Throughout the year we host various fund-raisers in the form of book sales, cake sales, raffles, fun-walks and more. Each parent is invited to be part of our Parent’s Association, which is a great platform to make suggestions for the school and choose fundraising projects. The Parent’s Association also provides invaluable support with the planning and organisation of the fundraising events.
